The Government of Peru, through its Ministry of Foreign Affairs, has condemned the attack perpetrated on Saturday against the Colombian police in Cali.
In addition, it reiterated the firm commitment of Peru to continue cooperating in favor of peace.
In a post on Twitter, the ministry stated that Peru expresses its solidarity with the Colombian people.
«We extend our solidarity with the people and the Government of Colombia following the attack that occurred yesterday against the police in Cali. The Government of Peru strongly condemns any terrorist acts and reiterates its firm commitment to continue cooperating in favor of peace,» reads the tweet.
On Saturday, 13 police officers were injured after an explosion in Cali. The Government of Colombia offered a reward for information leading to those responsible for the attack.
